Position Summary

The Almira School District is seeking a versatile and student-centered K–8 Endorsed Teacher to join our team. The position will most likely be for middle school ELA, Social Studies and elective classes. The successful candidate will provide high-quality instruction aligned with state standards, foster a positive learning environment, collaborate closely with colleagues, and contribute to a close-knit school community.

 

Required

• Valid Washington State teaching certificate 
• K–8 endorsement 
• Ability to teach middle school ELA and Social Studies
• Knowledge of best practices in elementary and middle-level instruction

 

Preferred

• CTE & Middle School endorsements
• Experience teaching in a 6th–8th setting
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth
• Ability to work collaboratively in a small school or rural setting
• Strong interest in Art, STEM and/or CTE

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction for K–8 students
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
• Create and maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
• Assess student learning and use data to guide instruction
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
• Collaborate with staff to support school and district goals
• Uphold district policies and professional responsibilities

 

Salary and Benefits

• Salary based on district salary schedule and experience
