PARAEDUCATOR:  Coordinates activities or performs specialized duties to assist in providing instruction to and supervision of students in a variety of instructional and non-instructional programs.

 

REQUIRED: High school diploma or GED and a minimum of 72 college quarter credits from a nationally accredited institution OR pass ETS test required.

 

Required: Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance

 

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Must have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  2. Always punctual.
  3. Must be accurate and efficient at completing tasks on time without constant/direct supervision.
  4. Ability to relate in a positive manner with students, parents, and staff/teachers, supervisory staff.
  5. Must be able to work effectively with small groups or individual students under the supervision of certificated staff.
  6. Ability to accurately keep records and manage a physical inventory.
  7. Ability to learn and operate library management software (e.g., Destiny, Follett, or similar catalog systems).

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

 

 

This position is 6.5 hours per day.  180 days per school year.
