Position Overview

To participate in the effective asset management and safety of the building and grounds of the Almira School District.

Reports To

Maintenance Supervisor

Pay

$17.13

Hours

1. 20-30 hours per week during non-school weeks
2. Christmas Break (Number of days to be determined)
3. Spring Break (Number of days to be determined)
4. Summer Break (begins one week after school is out until 2 weeks before school starts)
5. Other/call up - such as snow removal

Required Qualifications

1. Be between the ages of 16-19 and be enrolled in WA State School or Home School Program
2. Able to daily lift at least 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day
3. Able to daily stand most of the day
4. Able to daily walk on multiple surface types, angles, and uneven surfaces all day
5. Able to daily work in cold and hot environments
6. Ability to demonstrate good (90+%) attendance

Desired Qualifications

1. Possess a driver's license
2. Prior custodial and/or yard work experience
3. Be a good communicator both verbally, in writing, and digitally
4. Ability to work independently
5. Ability to follow directions
6. Ability to demonstrate a strong work ethic

Major Job Tasks

1. Grounds Work, such as, but not limited to:
1. Weedeating
2. Weeding
3. Raking
4. Shoveling
5. Litter
2. Moving/hauling/organizing
3. Wash/detail buses and/or vehicles
4. Cleaning (custodial), such as, but not limited to:
1. Windows
2. Dust/wiping
3. Cleaning bathrooms
4. Sweeping
5. Vacuuming
5. Painting
6. Other duties as assigned
